About the city
Kuala Lumpur is a young capital with an old mix. The Petronas Twin Towers define the skyline, but the character of the place is at ground level: colonial shophouses around Merdeka Square, the limestone caves and painted staircase at Batu Caves just outside town, and the night-long food street of Jalan Alor.
