Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 4 September 2026

These terms govern your use of turkmenistanairlines.com, the international website of the Open Joint Stock Company “Turkmenistan Airlines” (“we”, “us”, “the airline”). By using the website you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.

Who we are

Turkmenistan Airlines is the national carrier of Turkmenistan, operating scheduled international and domestic services from Ashgabat International Airport. This website is operated by the airline and is used to publish information about our services and to sell tickets for carriage by air.

Using this website

You may use the website to look up our services and to make and manage genuine bookings. You may not use it in any way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation or security, or that attempts to gain access to accounts, data or systems you are not entitled to reach. Automated collection of content or fare data is not permitted without our written consent.

We work to keep the information here accurate and current, but schedules, fares and availability change. Nothing on this website is an offer to carry until a booking has been confirmed and paid for.

We may suspend or withdraw part or all of the website at any time, including for maintenance. We do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption.

Bookings

You can book as a guest or while signed in to an account. When you book, you are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and in particular:

  • Each passenger’s name must match exactly the travel document that will be used for the journey.
  • Dates of birth, passport numbers and expiry dates must be correct, as they are passed to border authorities.
  • The telephone number and email address must be ones you can be reached on — they are the only way we can tell you about a change to your flight.

A booking is confirmed once payment has been authorised. You then receive a booking reference, and your ticket is sent to the email address given at booking. If it does not arrive, check the spam folder of that address and then contact us.

Tickets are also sold at Turkmenistan Airlines ticket offices in Turkmenistan and through our authorised agents abroad. Bookings made through an agent are subject to that agent’s terms as well as these.

Prices and payment

Fares are shown with the taxes, fees and charges applicable at the time of booking, in the currency displayed. Payment is taken by card through our payment service provider, ECommPay. Your card details are entered on the provider’s secure page and are not stored by us.

A fare is only held for the duration of the booking session. If payment is not completed, the fare and the seat may no longer be available.

Changes and refunds

Bookings made on this website cannot be changed or refunded online. If you need to change or cancel a journey, contact us with your booking reference as far ahead of departure as you can.

What is possible, and any charge that applies, depends on the conditions of the fare you bought. Those conditions are shown before you pay and form part of your contract of carriage. Fares sold at a discount are usually more restricted than flexible fares.

Your journey

Carriage is subject to our conditions of carriage and to the international conventions that apply to it, including the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage by Air, signed at Montreal on 28 May 1999.

Please arrive at the airport in good time. Check-in is at the airport: at least three hours before departure for international flights and two hours for domestic flights, and check-in closes 40 minutes before departure in both cases. We may refuse carriage if you present yourself after check-in has closed.

Baggage allowances, items that may not be carried, and charges for excess or oversized baggage are set out on our Baggage page and form part of these terms.

Travel documents, visas and health requirements

You are responsible for holding a passport, visas and any other documents required for your journey, including for countries you pass through in transit, and for meeting any health requirements that apply. Requirements are set by the authorities of each country and can change at short notice.

We may refuse to carry you if you do not hold the documents required for the journey, and we are not liable for the consequences of missing or incorrect documents. Where a state fines us for carrying an improperly documented passenger, we may recover that amount from you.

Conduct on board and refusal of carriage

We may refuse to carry a passenger, or remove them at any point, where this is necessary for the safety of the flight or for compliance with the law, or where the passenger’s conduct endangers or seriously disturbs other passengers or the crew. Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is not permitted on board, and crew instructions must be followed at all times.

Our liability

Our liability for death or injury to passengers, and for delay, loss or damage to baggage, is governed by the Montreal Convention and by the legislation of Turkmenistan, and is limited accordingly. The limits and the deadlines for making a claim are set out on our Claims page.

The website itself, and the information on it, are provided without any warranty that they are free of errors or interruptions. We are not liable for loss arising from your use of the website itself, other than loss that cannot be excluded by law.

Intellectual property

The content of this website — text, photographs, graphics, logos, icons, video and software — belongs to Turkmenistan Airlines or to those who licensed it to us, and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your own use in connection with a booking. Any other reproduction, republication or commercial use requires our written permission.

Links to other websites

Where we link to a website operated by someone else — an airport, a payment provider, an authority — we do so for convenience. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

Your personal data

How we collect and use personal data, who we share it with and what rights you have is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Complaints and claims

Claims about baggage, and the deadlines and documents that apply to them, are handled through the procedure on our Claims page. For anything else, write to us and we will reply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Turkmenistan, together with the international conventions that apply to carriage by air. Nothing in them removes rights that a passenger has under mandatory law in the country of departure or arrival.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time you make a booking is the version that applies to it. The date at the top shows when the page was last revised.
