Frankfurt flights move to Terminal 3
From 6 May 2026, all Turkmenistan Airlines flights at Frankfurt Airport operate from Terminal 3. Passengers travelling to or from Frankfurt should plan for the change before arriving at the airport.
What to do differently. Frankfurt is one of the largest airports in Europe, and moving between its terminals takes time. Follow signage for Terminal 3 from the moment you arrive, whether you come by car, by taxi or by rail. If you are being dropped off, make sure your driver knows the terminal has changed.
Allow extra time. We ask passengers on international flights to arrive at least three hours before the departure time shown on the ticket. Check-in closes 40 minutes before departure, and this deadline is firm. On a first visit to an unfamiliar terminal, the extra margin matters.
Check your gate on arrival. Gate assignments are confirmed at the airport and can change. Check the departure boards when you arrive and again after passing security.
Baggage on this route. On Ashgabat–Frankfurt services, Business Class passengers carry two pieces totalling 40 kg, and Economy Class one piece up to 32 kg, both figures including hand baggage. Personal items up to 5 kg and no larger than 50 × 40 × 20 cm may be carried into the cabin, plus one duty-free bag of up to 3 kg. Excess baggage is charged per additional piece: 280 manat from Ashgabat, and 80 US dollars on the return leg.
Connections. Frankfurt Airport has its own long-distance railway station with direct high-speed services across Germany and into neighbouring countries, which makes it a practical gateway to the Rhine valley, Cologne and the wider region.
