A new international website for Turkmenistan Airlines

Teilen

Turkmenistan Airlines has launched a new website for international travellers.

The national carrier serves fourteen international destinations across Europe, the Gulf, South Asia and East Asia, alongside seven airports inside Turkmenistan. Until now, much of the practical information a passenger needs before flying was spread across several sites, and not all of it existed in English. The new site brings it together.

What you will find. The full route network, with a page for every destination we serve. Baggage allowances set out route by route, because they are not the same everywhere — the allowance to Dubai differs from the allowance to Frankfurt, and the site now says so plainly. Fare conditions, including what it costs to change or cancel a booking and how close to departure you can do it. Check-in times, rules for travelling with children and with pets, and the full list of items that cannot be carried.

Booking. Tickets can be booked directly on the site and in the Turkmenistan Airlines mobile app, available for iOS and Android. Booking online requires a personal account, registered with your phone number. Once your bank confirms payment you receive your booking reference immediately and can download your ticket at any time from your account, along with your full booking history.

Cargo. The site also covers our freight operation, which runs through the cargo terminal at Ashgabat International Airport — the largest and most advanced facility of its kind in the region. Shipments can be tracked using the code from the air waybill.

A note on transit. Passengers connecting through Ashgabat International Airport do not require a transit visa. For travellers moving between Europe and Asia, that makes Ashgabat a straightforward waypoint, and it is now stated clearly on the site rather than buried in the small print.

The site is in English at launch, with further languages to follow. We will keep adding to it — schedules, services and travel information will continue to be expanded over the coming months.

We welcome your feedback. If something you need is missing, tell us through the contact form and we will put it right.
